KindLink Ltd (“we” , “our”, “us”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (the “Act”), we are the data controller.

This privacy policy (“Policy”) (together with our terms and conditions and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which we will process any personal data or usage information we and our related companies collect from you, or that you provide to us, in connection with your use of our website at www.kindlink.com, www.kindlink.org and charity.kindlink.com (each individually referred to as “Website” and collectively as “Websites”). This Policy also applies to any of our other websites that post this Policy. This Policy does not apply to websites that post different statements.

We use your information to fulfil our contract with you, to facilitate fund-raising by charities and administer donations from donors via our payment partners based on your consent, and to provide a platform for all non-profit organisations to raise funds, engage their supports and be transparent about their impact. We also use your information to maintain our website, and to tailor our products and services to your preferences to provide the best service possible. In addition we use your information to market our products and services to you, our partners (with your consent) where required by applicable law.

Who do we share your information with? We share your data with our third party service providers to the extent necessary for them to provide their services such as payment processors. We use these third parties services solely to process or store your information for the purposes described in this policy. We also share your information with relevant organisations or authorities for the purposes of anti-money laundering, anti-bribery or know your customer checks or claiming gift aids on behalf of charities, or necessary to comply with applicable laws, rules and regulations.

Where do we store your information? Your information will be transferred to, stored at and processed in the EEA. Your information is also processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or our partners.

How long do we store your information? We retain your information in accordance with our data retention policy.

If you are a corporation who chooses us as your payroll giving agency, we use personal data of your employees who agreed to participate in the KindLink Foundation Payroll Giving Scheme because it is our legitimate interests to maintain the KindLink Foundation Payroll Giving Scheme. WHERE DO WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The information that we collect from you will be transferred to, stored at and processed in the EEA. Your personal data is also processed by staff operating outside EEA who work for us or for one of our partners, Stripe. Such staff are engaged in, among other things, the processing of your donations details. We will take all steps reasonably to ensure that your personal data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy.

 

HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We will retain your information in accordance with our data retention policy. If you use our Websites without creating an account with us, we will retain your name and email address for a period of 36 months from the date of last contact or when you request to be removed from our system. During and after this period, we will restrict processing of your data.

THE SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We make reasonable efforts to protect your personal data as appropriate for the risks associated with processing. We maintain organizational, technical and administrative measures which are designed to protect your personal data within our organization against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration or misuse. Your personal data is only accessible to a limited number of personnel who need to access to the information in order to perform their duties. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT

Where you have provided your consent for us to process your personal data, you can withdraw your consent at any time by taking steps regarding how to “opt-out” as specified in our marketing emails. Even if you opt out, we will still send you non-marketing emails. Non-marketing emails include servicing emails about your accounts with us, and our business dealings with you.

COMPLAINTS

In the event that you wish to make a complaint about how we process your personal data, please contact in the first instance our Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) at dpo@kindlink.com and we will endeavor to deal with your request as soon as possible. This is without prejudice to your right to launch a claim with the Information Commissioner’s Office or the data protection supervisory authority in the EU in which you live or work where you think we have infringed data protection laws.

 

OUR POLICY ON CHILDREN

KindLink is not directed to children under 13.
