A festive wreath making session, raising money for our charity partner Turn2Us

The COO Digital Fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Research UK is a charity initiative supporting the UK’s leading dementia research organisation, dedicated to finding life-changing treatments and preventions for Alzheimer’s and related conditions. With nearly one million people in the UK living with dementia, this fundraiser aims to raise awareness and vital funds through an inclusive digital event, combining team engagement with a social quiz and donation opportunities. Every contribution will help accelerate pioneering research, from developing diagnostic tools to advancing experimental drug trials, bringing us closer to a future free from the fear of dementia.

Proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK and Turn2us, and Royal London will double-match your donations — for every £1 you give, we’ll donate £2.

If you'd like to make a small contribution to Breakthrough Cancer Research, you can do so here. Throughout the year we will run fundraiser to support the great work they do.

On 2nd September, the Security and Resilience teams will be taking on a charity walk from our Haymarket office, past our new Thistle Street location, and up Arthur’s Seat.

We’re doing this in support of Lymphoma Action, a charity we’ve chosen because a number of our colleagues have been personally impacted by the disease. We’re proud to be raising awareness and funds for such an important cause.

Our Grand Canal Virtual Step Challenge starts Monday, 23rd June in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research and finishes midnight, Sunday 20th July. Let’s see if collectively, we can step it out - virtually - from Amsterdam to Venice over the coming four weeks. There are prizes to be won too!

How to participate

1. You can take part as an individual or join a team (ideally 3 per team).
2. Record your distance in kms when you walk, jog or run over the next four weeks.
3. Using the tracker spreadsheet sent in the internral email comm and Pelican Post, send it to eamonn.rooney@royallondon.ie by 12pm every Monday.
4. Please make a donation.

Start date: Monday, June 23rd (submit your first set of weekly kms to Eamonn on Monday, 30th June) Finish date:Sunday, 20th July (submit your last set of kms on Monday 21st July)

If you are unable participate in the virtual step challenge, you can still show your support for Breakthrough Cancer Research by making a donation.

Quick update ive now passed the 90 mile target and i intend to push Quick update, ive now completed the 90 miles target so im going to carry on and see how many miles i can get in by the end of the month.
