The Story
VECC are embarking on a number of Environmental projects to reduce the carbon footprint of operating the club, as well as minimising our running costs.
The key projects are:
- Solar panels on the clubhouse roof
- Replacing equipment with more energy efficient alternatives
- Installing timers, sensors & thermostats to reduce power needs for heating & hot water
- Eco-friendly ground machinery
- Electric vehicle charging points
- Rainwater harvesting, storage & irrigation
We have access to some fund matching grants to partially cover some of the cost. However, we will need to raise at least £50,000 ourselves.
