I SWEAR to Make a Difference – Fundraising for Tourettes Action

In partnership with the new film I SWEAR, Tourettes Action is fundraising to make a difference and to support those who need it most. I SWEAR is in cinemas from 10th October, and is the extraordinary life story of notable Tourette’s campaigner, John Davidson, MBE. Tourette syndrome remains one of the most misunderstood and stigmatized neurological conditions, often compounded by limited access to proper medical care. I Swear seeks to challenge these misconceptions - illuminating the truth, dismantling stigma, and sparking empathy with every viewing. Many individuals face significant barriers to diagnosis, and even when one is made, around 60% are discharged the same day without any follow-up care or guidance. This leaves countless people feeling isolated, confused, and unsure of how Tourette’s will affect their lives and those of their families. The lack of clear information and support leads to exclusion and hardship. Children often struggle in school, families face daily challenges, and adults encounter difficulties in forming relationships and securing employment. This is where Tourettes Action steps in. Often described as a lifeline, we provide essential support to those who have nowhere else to turn. Simply knowing they’re not alone can bring immense comfort and hope.
