The Story
Support Mudlarks
Mudlarks is a Hertford-based charity that supports adults and young people with learning disabilities and mental health concerns.
Through supported learning, gardening therapy, and meaningful work in the community, we help people grow in confidence, learn new skills, and lead more independent, fulfilling lives.
Our projects include:
• 🌱 The Mudlarks Allotments (Cromwell Road) – providing gardening therapy in a safe, caring environment where people can grow vegetables, make friends, and build wellbeing.
• ☕ Mudlarks Café (Fore Street) – offering training, work experience, and employment for adults with learning disabilities, helping them develop confidence and valuable workplace skills.
• 🌼 Larking About Gardening Team – maintaining Hertford Town Council’s gardens and green spaces, showcasing the skills of our gardeners.
• 🌳 Special Branch Gardeners – supporting elderly residents with garden maintenance, helping them stay safe and happy in their homes.
• 🍃 The Woodland Centre Forest School – connecting young adults with learning difficulties to nature through hands-on activities and exploration.
• 🌿 Polytunnel Project – offering horticultural training and pathways to employment for those wanting to grow their future in the gardening industry.
Every donation helps local people with learning disabilities and mental health concerns gain confidence, purpose, and a place in our community.
💚 Your support makes a lasting difference — please donate today and help Mudlarks change lives in Hertford.
