The Story
We are launching an appeal to raise £100,000 to develop and install solar energy systems in rural schools and clinics in Zambia. Currently only 4% of rural communities have power. The aim is to improve the learning environment in schools, and to advance health facilties in remote areas. Pupils will have a source of light to do their homework and revision for examinations. Medical staff will have light to safely deliver babies during the night, as well as having refrigeration for vaccines.
