The Story
We run an international sustainable Eco-Learning Centre project that helps to protect our environment through recycling. This unique project comprises of a library, computer Lab and a farm that we set up in existing Schools. Using recyclable resources, we set up the Eco-learning Centre Projects in some of the most destitute places in Africa, with the aim of ending poverty through literacy, digital skills and practical education in Farming.
Africa has the largest population of young people in the world (65% are below 35 years old). For this reason, our special focus is to provide African children with sustainable tools to help combat deprivation to help them lift themselves out of the ills of poverty, while learning to look after their environment, as a commitment to helping to save the planet.
This unique Eco-Learning Centre project tackles 14 (nos.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16 & 17) out of the 17 United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

This is a sustainable Eco-Learning Centre project that helps to protect the environment through recycling while improving the quality of education in under-resourced communities in Sub-Saharan African countries.
This unique project comprises of a library, computer Lab and a farm that we are setting up to serve 4 existing Schools and a nursery, in Koforidua, an area where there are no library facilities. With the aim of ending poverty through literacy, digital skills and practical education in Farming, the project is designed to help young people thrive in their own communities to become self-reliant and self-sufficient.
This project is named in memory of Padre Pio as it reflects what he stands for. Coming a year after the 50th anniversary of Padre Pio’s death as well as a 100 years after his stigmata we intend to launch the project on 18th December 2019, to coincide with the day he was sent home from National Service from ill-health, and went on from there against all odds, to get back into his life’s mission, doing God’s work.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to delay the launch of this project and hope to able to complete it in 2020.
