Story of Remembering Chloe

Our daughter Chloe passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in the early hours of 9th May 2015 while abroad on a family holiday. Her death is classified as Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood. If love could have saved her she would have lived forever.

SUDC UK

SUDC UK is a charity co-founded by three bereaved mothers to focus on the ‘why’ so we can better understand the cause(s) and help prevent the sudden unexplained death of children in the future. The sudden unexplained death of a child is one of the most under-recognised medical tragedies of our time. SUDC UK is dedicated to increasing awareness in the UK and funding crucial research. SUDC UK is proud to link directly with our affiliate the SUDC Foundation for professional bereavement support. Together, our charities are the only organisations worldwide whose sole purpose is to promote awareness, advocate for research, and support those affected by sudden unexplained death in childhood. SUDC UK is run by volunteers and provides all services at no cost to families or professionals. SUDC receives no government funding. SUDC UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (charity no 1175413). Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) is the unexpected death of a child twelve months and older which remains unexplained after a thorough case investigation is conducted. SUDC is a category of death that currently eludes our scientific understanding today. It is unpredictable and unpreventable at this time.See other opportunities to help us here.
