Arrival Packs. £10 a month could provide three children with an arrival pack each year giving them dignity, warmth and comfort

Lone refugee children arrive in the UK dishevelled and dirty, vulnerable and often traumatised. There are currently no other charities or agencies that provide the bare essentials for the first few days of their experience in the UK. The Separated Child Foundation provides an Arrival Pack which is a duffle bag crammed full of toiletries and a towel, socks and underwear, warm clothing, a waterproof jacket, gloves, a hat and a scarf, and other essentials. Here is some feedback from one of the children who received an arrival pack from us: He was very emotional to know people out there want to help children like him. He described the bag as awesome saying that he particularly liked the gloves because they were nice and thick and he was not cold anymore. He also liked the hoodie and raincoat and thought they were really nice. He also said that his bar of soap smelt so good he tried to eat it!
