The Story
K4C has supported Kagote Health Centre 3 since 2015. This includes support for the laboratory which test patients for malaria, HIV, syphilis, diabetes and many other conditions. The lab is managed by Peter, a laboratory technician.
Kagote Health Centre have asked if K4C can help them to replace the existing cracked surfaces in the Lab – which increase the risk of Healthcare Acquired Infection – with a solid ‘terrazzo’ surface (a kind of liquid concrete that has no cracks or grouting.
The cost of replacing the existing surface with Terrazzo is roughly £200, and we will also take the opportunity to re-decorate the walls of the lab at the same time.
