General Medical Equipment and Consumables

Despite Uganda offering universal health services to hospital patients, the severe lack of funding means equipment and consumables are often in short supply or are completely out of stock. This can include drugs, gloves and many other consumables. In these cases, patients are required to purchase their own supplies from local pharmacies, or otherwise risk not receiving treatment. However, many of the people accessing public health services in Uganda come from very poor backgrounds, meaning they often cannot afford even the most basic of supplies. In these cases, Knowledge for Change endeavours to provide support wherever possible and fundraising for this cause will enable us to go even further and help more people receive the care they need.
