The Story

As an independent charity with a free admission policy, we rely on fundraising events and activities to make sure we can keep sharing the heritage of Hertford and East Herts with around 30,000 people each year. Forced closure in March of 2020 left us unable to deliver our highly valued programme and services to our community and schools. Despite re-opening our doors as soon as we were able to in July 2020, the COVID-19 emergency has meant we are still unable to deliver our popular and engaging events, losing around £15,000 in income. If you've enjoyed one of our exhibitions, or free or low cost events for all ages, your child has enjoyed one of our hands on and inspiring workshops for schools, or you've just dropped in and enjoyed our beautiful museum and garden, please consider becoming one of our heroes and making a one off or regular donation.

Hertford Museum

We hope to re-open as soon as possible but will incur heavy expenses to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and volunteers.
