The Story

So 2021 brings my first Marathon, and London at that! I came out of the ballot and that was quite a surprise! The Marathon is the 3rd October. I have chosen to run and support 3 charities: 1 - Medical Aid for Palestinians 2 - Pewterer's Seahorse Trust 3 - The Chartered Accountants Livery Charity. We have Palestinian extended family which has increased my awareness that those who live in Lebanon and the Palestinian territories are not as privileged as we are with the UK NHS. In current times humanitarian support is important. The other two charities are those of my Livery Companies, who support a range of causes with a focus on education, work with disadvantaged young people and other charitable activities. I have taken part in a few events as part of the WCCAEW runners team over the last couple of years which have been great fun, and I want to use this opportunity to keep supporting the Company and Charity. Attached are a couple of photos from the recent London Landmarks half marathon, which forms part of my training
