The Story
On the last 10 days of Ramadan, I’m going to Jinja, Uganda, to deliver life-saving food parcels and hygiene supplies to families and children in urgent need. You can be a part of this mission 𝐛𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐙𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭, 𝐒𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐪𝐚𝐡, 𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 to help provide meals, hygiene packs, Qurans, and education for those who have nowhere else to turn.

Al-Fikr
Every single day, millions of families in Uganda are forced to survive on the equivalent of about £1 a day or less, with no guarantee of food for tomorrow.
This Ramadan, I am travelling with Al-Fikr to Jinja, Uganda, to deliver life-saving food parcels and hygiene supplies to families in need.
Our team aims to provide 2,000 food parcels, delivering the equivalent of 100,000 meals to families who have nowhere else to turn. Each food parcel costs £30 and contains long-life staples that can ease the burden of hunger. We are also preparing hygiene packs (with soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mosquito nets, and sanitary supplies) at £15 each to help protect the dignity and health of our brothers and sisters who lack access to these basic essentials.
We will also deliver Qurans and Islamic educational resources to local masjids and madrassas, and formally open the new Al-Fikr orphanage, providing shelter, meals, and education for 50 children who have lost their parents.
