Northampton Street Trees

We're working with Save Our Street Trees - Northampton to plant 10 new trees in urban streets in Northampton. Northampton has lost 58% of its street trees over the past 50 years. Trees in urban settings bring a wealth of health and wellbeing benefits for residents, whilst also sequestering carbon. Which is why Save Our Street Trees – Northampton aims to restore them. We are a tree planting charity, who aims to turn the tide of deforestation. So far, we’ve planted over 360 trees around the globe, but working with Save Our Street Trees – Northampton will be our first project close to home. An area the size of the UK is lost to deforestation each year, which means all the carbon the trees have sequestered over their lifetime gets released back into the atmosphere, as well as this homes for wildlife are lost and biodiversity is reduced, which is why it’s so important to help restore them.
