The Story
I love cycling with my friends and family, and after living in China for two years where there was minimal opportunity to cycle in fresh air and on quiet roads, it was lovely to get back out on my bike when I came back to the U.K. in June.
When I was back in the summer, I was talking to a friend and we were discussing what new challenges we could take on, having both previously completed marathons….and here I am now with a place in the Ride London 100 mile bike ride!
For me, it’s not about a time, but just about getting to the finish line, whilst enjoying some training rides along the Danube (hopefully with some visits to Austria and Hungary) and raising money for an amazing charity.

To promote physical and mental health and provide relief for children who suffer with pyruvate dehydrogenase deficiency (pdh) and their immediate families by
a) providing support to the families through funding and advice.
b) supporting research into the cure and management of pdh.
c) raising public awareness of pdh and educating the public about the condition.
