The Story
🐾 Emergency Appeal: Help the Animals Affected by the Cyprus Fires 🐾
Over the past 48 hours, devastating wildfires have swept through parts of Cyprus, leaving destruction in their wake. Families have lost their homes, their livelihoods — and tragically, many have been separated from their beloved animals.
We are working alongside fellow rescuers to provide urgent care and shelter for the dogs and cats affected by the fires. Many are injured, burned, and traumatised. Others have been left behind or given up by owners who have lost everything and can no longer care for them.
This fundraiser will help cover:
🐶 Temporary kennel and shelter costs
🐾 On-going veterinary treatment and rehabilitation
🏡 Long-term care for animals whose owners cannot be found or who no longer have a home to return to
We also want to be in a position to take in dogs from families who are being forced to make the heartbreaking decision to relinquish their pets as they try to rebuild their lives.
We don’t yet know the full extent of the damage — but we know more animals in need will continue to emerge in the days ahead.
Every donation makes a difference. Whether it covers the cost of one vet visit, a safe night in a kennel, or a week of food and care, your support will directly help these animals through this crisis.
Please give what you can — and share this appeal far and wide.
🙏 Thank you for caring
