Blue and Kanella

The first life we’re fighting for is a tiny puppy we’ve named Blue. He was taken to our vet by a hunter who wanted him euthanised simply because he was born with a leg that needed surgery — a condition that is completely treatable. What broke our hearts even more was how painfully thin he was. Just skin and bones. It seems that once they decided he “wasn’t worth keeping,” they stopped feeding him. Blue has now had his surgery and he’s safe. But we urgently need £500 to cover his costs and give him the fresh start he deserves. The second dog is Kanella, one of 27 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation back in October. When she first arrived, she would shrink into corners, too frightened to lift her head. Over the past few months, she has slowly — so bravely — started to trust. Two of the 27, Angelo (now Alfie) and Sibel, have already made it to loving foster homes in the UK thanks to your support, and seeing their transformation has been incredible.
