The Story
Peter was a family man who loved and cared for his wife of 58 years, Margaret. He enjoyed spending time with his two boys, John and David, and their families. He was very proud of all of his six grandchildren and was always interested in what they were up to.
Peter was a Police Officer with 43 years of service and often reminisced of his time in Belgravia, the Houses of Parliament and latterly as a civilian working at Wallington and Sutton Police Stations. He loved golf and was honoured to become the Five Day Captain at Woodcote Park Golf Club. He spent many happy hours either playing golf or organising events and competitions there. He later became an Honorary Member of the Club and had the Peter Garrad Cup named after him.
Having lost their daughter Elizabeth to cancer in 1992, Peter would be pleased to support this amazing charity in his memory.
Thank you for taking the time to remember Peter. May he rest in peace
