The Story
Once again the South East Cancer Help Centre is asking all local residents, shops, businesses and schools to get involved with their awareness and fundraising campaign, Paint Purley Purple!
We'd love you to get involved by sponsoring a tree, decorating your shop window, church, business or school in purple, organise a purple fundraising event or hold a 'wear purple' day.
The Paint Purley Purple campaign started in 2017 with just five trees covered in purple knitting and has now grown to over 100 trees and benches being covered. All the knitting has kindly been made by SECHC members and supporters with new sections added each year to decorate more of the town.
Please support our campaign and share your purple pictures on social media using the hashtag #PaintPurleyPurple. Help us raise awareness of the support available to those affected by cancer and raise much needed funds to continue the service.
South East Cancer Help Centre
South East Cancer Help Centre is a small independent cancer charity based in Purley. We work across the surrounding area helping local people and their families affected by cancer.
In a caring, friendly and supportive environment we offer a range of services including counselling, complementary therapies, support groups and other therapeutic activities. The Centre has local NHS recognition but receives no government funding, relying instead on the generosity and goodwill of our members, volunteers, the local community and local organisations.
Supporting our Paint Purley Purple 2026 campaign will make a huge difference to those affected by cancer.
