All-weather surfacing for proposed new shelter at Scantabout School

Scantabout Primary School is fortunate to have lovely school grounds with woodland areas, log-trail play area, climbing frame, playing field and pond. We want to make sure the children can be out enjoying the school grounds whatever the weather and so are hoping to install a large (6mx3m) new shelter to provide protection from the sun and rain. It will be particularly valuable to enable another bubble of children to shelter during the regular classroom cleaning taking place at the moment during the Covid pandemic. This exciting project will hopefully be implemented early in the summer term 2021 benefitting all of the children at Scantabout enabling more of the pupils to learn and play outside. The shelter will be installed onto an existing grass area. It would be great to have an all-weather surface laid underneath the shelter so that it can be used throughout the year. The Scantabout School Association (SSA) currently have enough funds to buy the shelter and new picnic bench seating but don’t have enough to include the all-weather surfacing.
