The Story
I'll be joining a walk across the sands of Morecambe Bay to help support the campaign to restore the splendid Grange-over-Sands Lido.
I have happy memories of swimming there when staying with grandparents who lived nearby in the 60s and early 70s. This remarkable structure could become an invaluable asset for the local community, as well as an attraction for visitors.
My daughter and I will be joining the cross-bay walk on Sat. 12 Aug. This will take about 4 hours, covering a distance of 7 - 8 miles, depending on the conditions of the sands.
