The Story

Karen and I really enjoy visiting Grange-over-Sands. Sadly the Grange Lido on the promenade has fallen into a sorry state of repair. The lido is an iconic Art Deco gem, and the only surviving seaside lido in the North West, and one of just four in England. Opened in 1932 and closed in 1993, the lido is an important heritage asset and was Grade 2 listed in 2011. "Save Grange Lido" is working with the local Council to bring about a full restoration of the site. The group is raising funds to fully restore the Grange-Over-Sands Lido and make it the jewel in the crown of Morecambe Bay. We'd like to help them. So we are taking part in the "Cross Bay Walk" this summer, along with our little dog Ollie. When the tide goes out we will be walking from one side of Morecambe Bay to the other! That's from Arnside to Grange. Any amount of sponsorship you can donate to support us in the Cross Bay Walk will help us in that task.
