The Story
Inter Me Gin FC was established in summer 2019 as a group of Rothwell Juniors ‘mums’ Elissa Matley was the founder she thought playing would be much more fun than watching from the sidelines!
From then it’s gone from strength to strength with a regular group of 30 women who regularly attend both training and matches in our new league ‘Womens Beginner League’ which gives opportunity to women who are either new to football, just starting back after a while out of the game or just want an environment that’s fun, friendly and not ‘county league competitive! ‘
Our Yorkshire 3 peaks charity walk will take part on the 10th June 2023 where most of the team will take part, the total distance covered by the team will be over 200 miles. Julie and friends have supported the Samantha Sykes Foundation Trust on many occasions, and it is no surprise Julie and friends have decided to support with the Inter Me Gin event. Julie is a long term friend of Samanthas family and we are always grateful for her support and of course her friends. Please support this event and as always anything raised will go to help young people, who need support, in the Yorkshire region. The charity has no paid members which means everything raised is well spent. This charity has supported over 3,000 young people in Yorkshire and we can only do that with people like Julie Hirst, her friends and of course your support too !!!
