The Story
UPDATE:
By God's grace we have now raised over £26k. It’s a fantastic achievement. Please keep those donations coming. Everything we raise will go towards more incubators or ongoing support for their upkeep and maintenance.
We know first hand how important an incubator can be in ensuring that a new born baby receives the life saving care it needs in the first few days and weeks of its precious life. Right now, after years of conflict, medical facilities in Yemen are on the brink of collapse and there is an acute shortage of incubators. This is why, on the 10th anniversary of Saarah's passing, we are asking you again for your support, this time to raise funds for our new appeal, Incubators 4 Yemen.
We have been asked by our partner charity, Human Relief Foundation, to help them raise funds to provide 6 incubators for the Tarim and Seiyun General Hospitals in Hadhramaut, Yemen. Each incubator costs up to £5,000 which is why we have set the ambitious target of raising £25,000.
I know it is a large amount of money, and I know there are many other very worthy causes out there, but anything you can give to support this appeal will make a difference.

Saarah's Fund
We have set up Saarah’s Fund in memory of Saarah, our beautiful and beloved 4 year old daughter, who passed away completely unexpectedly in her sleep on the 11th of March 2011.
She was truly a miracle: born 11 weeks early, weighing 3lb 3oz, she overcame meningitis twice before she finally came home after three months. Then aged one she had pneumonia and a serious secondary infection to which she almost succumbed. Remarkably she bounced back and for the next three years she enjoyed good health. Unfortunately the meningitis left its mark: hearing loss in one ear, nystagmus (wobbly eyes), very low muscle tone and developmental delay. However, through her courage and determination, she was overcoming all these challenges and had blossomed into a fun loving and outgoing little girl. She brought us so much love and joy and was a source of inspiration to all who knew her.
Through the generosity of family, friends and complete strangers alike, over the last ten we have raised nearly £50,000 for various causes. This includes seven incubators at the Iman Hospital in Syria, four incubators in Yemen, an outdoor play train at the JR Hospital, play equipment for the Wheatley Nursery, and a contribution towards the new indoor arena at RDA Abingdon, both of which Saarah used to attend.
