The Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our KindLink page. Due to the current school closures, our PTA fundraising for the year has had to be put on hold, until now. Not only are we missing out on all the fun & community spirit that come hand in hand with our events, but we are also unable to raise much needed funds for our lovely school. Our Summer Fete, Dragon Boat Race and end of term discos would usually help us raise money for the school and our children. Our target this year was to raise £12,000 for the Friends of St Catherine’s to buy 60 brand new chrome books. This will not be possible without finding new ways of fundraising. We were inspired by the story from another school who raised an amazing amount by year groups taking on the challenge of completing a relay. We have decided to take on a challenge to try to help raise some funds for the PTA whilst our normal fundraising can't take place. Using their daily exercise children we are inviting children from the whole school to take part in a Ware wide relay (socially distancing of course!) taking in all their homes along the route! They will either run, walk, or skip their way from their home to the home of a nearby St Catherine's pupil, passing an imaginary baton for the relay to continue. Please sponsor our children if you can? Our school isn’t just a building that we learn in, but a fantastic community of children and parents who can come together to create an event to be proud of. What a fantastic thing we will all be doing, and to help the Friends of St Catherine's to continue our fundraising in these difficult times. thank you so much ..

We need about £4,000 to reach our target by the end of the summer term. We were inspired by the story from another school who raised money for their school by year groups taking on the challenge of completing a relay. We have decided to take on a similar challenge to try to help raise some funds for the FOSC whilst our normal fundraising can't take place.
