The Story
I am riding from London to Brighton for Lighthouse - a charity that enables children in care to have the same opportunities as everyone else.... and who doesn't deserve that?
Many of you will know I am no stranger to cycling but this will be my second outing in the saddle this year... so it will be a challenge! I am doing this as I have been lucky to see the impact Lighthouse can make firsthand through some volunteer consultancy work and a good friend joining to lead the charge on opening their first home.
Lighthouse creates children’s homes where children can thrive and where education is crucial. Their approach is informed by social pedagogy - a relationship-based way of working with children. Lighthouse also invest in great staff who are able to build authentic relationships in thoughtfully designed physical spaces.
Recently they opened their first children’s home opened in early February 2022. You can find more information about their homes here lighthousechildrenshomes.org.uk/sutton-london
All the money you donate will support Lighthouse and the children they support. Thank you for your help!
