Story of Shipley Mutual Aid Fund (Coronavirus)
We are raising funds to meet hardship in Shipley during the disruption caused by the Coronavirus outbreak. Funds will be used to support local neighbourhood groups and individuals facing hardship and living in the Shipley Ward.
The Kirkgate Centre is Shipley's community centre, supporting local people to identify, understand and address local issues and priorities. We do this by providing support and space for community-led activities, and by actively encouraging collective working and mutual aid in Shipley. The Kirkgate Centre building has been Shipley's community centre since 1980, and is used by over 230 families, groups and organisations to run more than 2,200 activities a year. The Kirkgate Centre is registered charity, run by a committed team of trustees, volunteers and staff. All of our trustees are residents of Shipley and would welcome your involvement in the centre.See other opportunities to help us here.
