‘Dry January’ challenge to support a mum & her 3 pups

If I’m not busy with the dogs, and not working, I’m often having a drink - Stella, Moretti, gin, wine, Prosecco, Peroni 🍻🍸🥂 - I’m pretty flexible 😆. I thought I’d try to do dry January, partly for the health benefits and also to push myself. I’ve managed 2 birthdays already, with no alcohol, so thinking maybe I can do it. I may not be running a marathon but it is a challenge for me. To add some encouragement and to make me more accountable I thought I could make it a fundraising challenge. I’m a Trustee with GSP Rescue UK and 2022 was our busiest year ever. We are so busy with UK dogs that we’ve not been able to help as many foreign dogs in the past year. However, last July we committed to helping an individual rescuer with a mum and her pups in northern Cyprus. We’ve paid for their care and vaccinations and will be covering their travel preparations, so that hopefully we can get them into loving UK homes in the next few months.
