The Story
GSP Rescue UK is the breed rescue officially recognised by The German Shorthaired Pointer Club, The Central and Southern GSP Society, The GSP Association and The Kennel Club.
We are funded entirely on donations and our activities are run by volunteers. GSP Rescue UK is a non-profit organisation registered as a charity with the charities commission. Our registration name is GSP Trust and our number is 1172457.
We find that the GSPs come to us through a variety of circumstances, so we offer advice and lifetime support as we understand that the decision to rehome a GSP is often a heart breaking one. We are able to offer emergency support in urgent cases and recognise the need for discretion in assisting you.
GSP Rescue UK respect that there are other organisations which rehome GSPs both in the UK and overseas. The nature of our organisation and the requirements of the Charities’ Commission are such that we collaborate willingly with these organisations toward the welfare of the breed.

GSP Rescue UK is an organisation dedicated to the welfare of German Shorthaired Pointers through rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, and education. We are funded entirely on donations and our activities are run by volunteers. GSP Rescue UK is a non-profit organisation registered with the Charity Commission as GSP Trust. Our registration number is 1172457. We continue to develop our services to support the German Shorthaired Pointer community. We have established a new service of offering mobility aids including wheelchairs to GSP's in need.We provide care to some GSPs for the whole of their life following the passing of their owners through funds held in trust through legacy in will.We are assisting families help their dogs through the rigours of lockdown and any behavioural issues that may arise.We have also assisted with hardship cases for dogs needing veterinary care and families needing assistance.Your kind donations make this possible and we thank everyone who assists us in our aims to provide a charity for the GSP community.
