The Story

We've received a huge donation of thousands of purple crocus bulbs from our local Rotary Club - the Rotary Club of Tarring Park! To raise awareness of this hugely important global campaign we're planting a crocus bed in our park. And we're offering our friends and supporters the chance to plant their own #EndPolio awareness bed, window box or planter to show your support for the campaign and help the park. Make a donation to receive a bag of crocus corms (bulbs) - various bag sizes available. (We've been advised that the crocus variety is Ruby Giant but we cannot guarantee this)

We're delighted to have received a huge donation of thousands of purple crocus bulbs from our local Rotary Club - the Rotary Club of Tarring Park. To raise awareness of this hugely important global campaign we are planting a crocus bed in our park. And we are offering our friends and supporters the chance to plant their own #EndPolio awareness bed, window box or planter to show your support for the campaign and help the park. Make a donation to receive a bag of crocus corms (bulbs) - various bag sizes available. The purple crocus is a symbol of Rotary's global campaign to eradicate polio from the world. With support from donors, Rotary and their partners immunize over 400 million children every year from polio. This year they are closer than ever to achieving their goal to rid the world of polio - 99.9% to be exact! DID YOU KNOW? Purple was chosen as the colour to represent this campaign as each vaccinated person has their little (pinkie) finger dipped in purple ink to show their vaccination status.
