The Story
I have been working for a hearing support service in Dorset for many years and lots of the children that I come into contact with use Dorset Deaf Children Society. As a deaf person myself I value the support this charity provides, it is a fantastic one allowing hearing impaired children, young people and families the chance to meet each other and share experiences.
This charity can be a lifeline for those that live in Dorset, being a rural county, opportunities to meet others can be limited and this really facilitates those possibilities.
I also hope by undertaking this challenge I can be seen a deaf role model for others so they can relate and hopefully feel that there are no boundaries in achieving any goal!
The race will take place on 7th April 2024, any donation you can give would be greatly appreciated!
