The Story
On 8 April 2023, I will be running the South Downs Way 50, in aid of Dharma Drum London. Dharma Drum London (also known as London Chan Meditation) is a charity that offers free meditation instruction, talks from leading teachers, a reading club, lectures, practice meetups, retreats and informal social gatherings, for all. All activities are free and based on voluntary donations and open to anyone who is interested, irrespective of religious affiliation or race.

About the race:
The South Downs Way 50 is a 50-mile foot race along the South Downs Way National Trail, beginning in Worthing and finishing in Eastbourne, with around 5700 ft of elevation. "Running" the race will definitely include light jogging and walking, and some re-evaluation of life decisions.
Dharma Drum London
Dharma Drum London is a community-centred meditation group. We provide space and instruction for anyone interested in learning about, and practicing meditation. The vision of DDL is to draw upon Buddhist values and wisdom to contribute to the well-being of modern society, by cultivating mindfulness, compassion, interconnectedness of all beings, environmental protection, social equity and justice. We bring peace, wisdom, love and compassion to our community and everyone around us through meditation, charity, and public/social engagement.
