The Story
This Autumn, as we celebrate our 18th birthday, we’re raising £18,000 to fund our Burners programme. Burners supports our cohort of 18 year olds as they graduate after six years of growing and finding their voice with us. It includes a final residential trip, a farewell performance, professional headshots, support with next-steps, and a final show at our annual festival.
Young people need consistent spaces where they can be fully themselves, make friends across differences, try things without fear of failure and be taken seriously by adults. Company Three provides that space: free, long-term and rooted in young people’s lives and community. Because we’ve been this steady, reliable space for years, giving them a thoughtful goodbye really matters. Burners recognises who they’ve become and supports their transition into adult life at the moment of huge change, and it’s especially vital for those who’ve faced challenges and need help navigating what comes next.
COMPANY THREE THEATRE
Company Three is a leading force for change for teenagers in our local community and around the world.
We are a theatre company led by the ideas of our 75 members aged 11-19. We recruit our members through deep-rooted relationships locally and share our practice globally to impact teenagers everywhere.
We create a space where young people can come together, be creative and be themselves. Our members join us at 11 and stay until they are 18.
