It is with profound sadness that we BMCF share the news of the untimely passing of Shinto Palluruthil Devasya, a beloved member of our community, who was found deceased at work place in the Isle of Wight. Shinto, who worked in the health care sector, was a resident of Southampton town Centre and hailed originally from Ulikkal, Kannur. He leaves behind his heartbroken wife, Riya, and their two young daughters. Despite struggling with health issues like high blood pressure and diabetes, Shinto continued to work long, extended shifts in Isle of Wight to support his young family. Determined to ease their financial burdens, he took on extra hours, often staying away from home for days at a time. His job required heavy travel expenses and long working hours, but Shinto endured it all with quiet strength, driven by the dream of building a small home for his family back in Kerala. His deepest wish was to provide a secure and happy life for his wife and two daughters, and he had been making plans to return to Kerala to fulfill that dream when this unexpected tragedy struck. Shinto’s sudden and tragic passing has devastated his family. His cause of death is heart attack and is currently under investigation for more details. Riya, now facing a future filled with uncertainty and hardship, is courageously trying to navigate life without her soulmate, their family’s pillar of strength, and the loving father of her children. The challenges Riya now faces are overwhelming: - They have no home to return to in India and must arrange funeral services here in the UK, with costs far beyond their means. - Riya must now urgently seek employment while simultaneously caring for their two grieving daughters. - Rent, living expenses, and legal fees are mounting daily, and without Shinto’s support, their entire future hangs in the balance. - They must also regularize their visa situation amidst this emotional and financial turmoil.
