The Story

Hello! I am Renju Oommen, currently working as a Senior Nurse in Acute Gastroenterology at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester. My professional journey began in India, where I worked at Orange City Multi-Speciality Hospital in Nagpur before moving to the UK. Alongside my nursing career, I am incredibly proud to serve as a trustee of Mothers Charity a role that reflects my lifelong passion for giving back to the community. Charity work has always been close to my heart, especially when it comes to supporting vulnerable children and families in need. It’s not just something I do it’s a part of who I am. I live in Winchester with my husband, Reji Koshy, and we are blessed with a daughter who recently graduated from university. My family has always supported my commitment to service and the belief that real change starts with small, meaningful actions. That’s why I am participating in “Walk with Muthukad Change Lives thru BMCF” and “BMCF M’Cube Magic Moments” an inspiring initiative to raise funds for the International Institute for Children with Disabilities in Kasaragod, Kerala. This walk is more than a fundraising effort; it’s a chance to stand in solidarity with children who deserve access to opportunity, dignity, and a brighter future. As a nurse, a mother, and a dedicated volunteer, I have witnessed how compassion and care can truly transform lives. By walking together, we can help create lasting impact one step at a time. "BMCF M'Cube Magic Moments" The charity walk in the morning sets the tone for a day dedicated to hope, culminating in the grand evening of magic moments with Muthukad at Prajapati Hall, Leicester blending magic, music, and motivation at 4 PM. This is not just a show — it’s a movement of love and change. By supporting these initiatives, you directly contribute to building a future of dignity for hundreds of children society often overlooks. We invite you to be a part of these transformative events by making a generous contribution. All contributions will go directly towards the construction and operation of the Kasaragod institute, which is set to open its doors by 2029. With the collective strength of the British Malayali Charity Foundation (BMCF) and the UK DAC Chapter along with generous individuals like you, we believe real change is within the reach. Let’s make this mission a reality by spreading this message by sharing amongst your dear and near ones. To mark this event as a very special occasion, British Malayali Charity Foundation has also decided to honour one of the local community charities in UK, as always has been doing, in their outstanding services being rendered to the needy people in the society. As such, British Malayali Charity Foundation will be giving an amount of £ 1,000.00 to Open Hands Leicester, one of the leading community charities from Leicester as a token of solidarity and gratitude in their relentless efforts in supporting many deserving people in and around Leicestershire. Let's Not Miss This Moment "Many of us, knowingly or unknowingly, miss the chance to do good. Let this not be one of those times." Your support will not only make the above events a grand succes but also bring lasting light into the lives of those who need it most. Please ensure to give consent to claim gift aid if eligible as every £ 1.00 you donate get enhanced to another £ 0.25 by doing so. This is your chance to support a life-changing project for some of the most vulnerable children in our society. Whether you walk with me, donate, or share this appeal you are making a difference. 👉 Donate now. Share hope. Change a life. Many Thanks Renju Oommen
