The Story
With heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of Manish Namboothiri, a beloved member of the Livingston Malayali community. At just 36 years old, Manish tragically collapsed while playing table tennis, leaving his family and friends in deep shock and sorrow. Despite the best efforts of paramedics and friends, he could not be saved.
Manish and his wife Divya moved to the UK four years ago to build a better future. Just a month ago, they fulfilled a long-cherished dream of buying a home in Livingston. However, due to financial constraints, the house is uninsured and remains under mortgage, adding to the family’s distress during this unimaginable tragedy.
Manish hailed from the well-known Namboothiri family of Attur near Shoranur in Palakkad, Kerala. His untimely passing has come as a devastating shock to his parents, MR Muraleedharan and Nalini Muraleedharan, who are struggling to cope with this unimaginable loss. His only brother, Abhilash Muraleedharan, who works in Hyderabad, is also grappling with the tragedy while supporting the family during this painful time. The news has left the entire extended family and community in Kerala in profound grief.
Manish, a dedicated professional at NatWest Bank and a pillar of strength for the community, has left behind a legacy of kindness and warmth. His wife Divya is now not only grieving the profound loss of her soulmate but is also facing overwhelming financial challenges.
We, as a community, have an opportunity to come together and support Divya and Manish’s family during this difficult time. our generous contributions will help cover repatriation costs, immediate expenses, and provide some relief to ease the burden of their mortgage.
