The Story
Hello friends, brothers, sisters, and respected parents,
With joy and hope, I share that we are eagerly waiting for the charitable walk with our beloved and world-renowned magician, Professor Gopinath Muthukad, to raise funds in support of children with disabilities.
My name is Joseph Jacob, 27 years old, from Peterborough, and I have Down’s syndrome. It is my humble wish to represent the disabled children of our community by taking part in this noble mission.
I live with my loving parents, Jacob Cheriyan (Prison Chaplain) and Rosily Ouseph (Retired Nurse), along with my brothers Isaac, Abraham, and my sister-in-law Gloria. I am active in my daily life, attending Goldhey Arts – a club for children with disabilities – as well as gym sessions in my local gym.
My Peterborough community is a constant source of encouragement; they warmly welcome me to every stage program, giving me the chance to dance and perform. They treat me not with hesitation or discrimination, but with love, as one of their own. This acceptance is one of the greatest blessings in my life.
With gratitude in my heart, I invite your generous support, prayers, and encouragement to make this event a true success. I will be walking two miles alongside my dear Gopi uncle, carrying with me the dreams and hopes of children like me. Together, let us be the reason for their smiles and help brighten their future.
To mark this event as a very special occasion, the British Malayali Charity Foundation has also decided to honour one of the local community charities here in the UK, as it has always done, for their outstanding service to those in need. As a token of solidarity and gratitude, BMCF will be donating £1,000.00 to Open Hands Leicester, a leading community charity in Leicestershire, for their relentless efforts in supporting many deserving people in and around the area.
On Sunday 19th October 2025, the suburbs of Leicestershire will come alive with the power of unity, compassion and magic as Gopinath Muthukad – world-renowned magician turned humanitarian – leads a heartwarming initiative to transform the lives of children with disabilities. Through “Walk with Muthukad – Change Lives thru BMCF” & "BMCF M'Cube Magic Moments"we aim to raise crucial funds for the International Institute for Children with Disabilities at Kasaragod, Kerala, India – a world-class centre offering care, education and empowerment to differently-abled children.
The participants get an ample opportunity to walk and chat with a reputed and well-known magician Mr. Gopinath Muthukad at 11 AM at Beacon Hill Park, Leicester along with the great participation to raise funds for a noble cause The walk trails through the park will be for around an hour.
Let’s make this mission a reality by spreading this message by sharing amongst your dear and near ones.
Your support will not only make the above events a grand succes but also bring lasting light into the lives of those who need it most.
Please ensure to give consent to claim gift aid if eligible as every £ 1.00 you donate get enhanced to another £ 0.25 by doing so.
Thanks & Regards,
Joseph Jacob
