The after effects of COVID are still visible among us. It turned many lives upside down. 47 year old Jancy's life is one of those where she is completely bedridden now after catching COVID two times. She underwernt couple of surgeries in the hospital for frozen shoulder, which should have been relatively a minor procedure. But following the surgery she caught COVID two times and her body deteriorated and became bedridden. She was deserted by her husband more than 10 years ago. This happened when she was trying to rebuild her life with her only child. She used to work as a carer before. Now she has to depend carers who are coming 2 to 3 times a day and her 15 year old son even for her basic needs. She has to pay the carers out of the benefit money she receives. She used to live near Aylesbury but now housed in an accommodation provided by the council near Leicester. Her son now a full time carer for the mum has no social life or friends and oftem misses his college. It is a family friend who brought the case to the attention of BMCF. They are hopeful that she will get better if she can be rehabilitated for atlest 6 months in an ayurvedic treatment center in Kerala as no further treatments are provided by NHS. The family is in no position to bear the travel and treatment costs associated with this.
