“Walk With Muthukad; Change lives thru BMCF” Fundraising Appeal by Jagan Padachira and Nehal Jagan

Hello Friends, My name is Jagan Abraham Padachira, a 42-year-old currently living in Leicester (LE3 0QG). I work at Logistics at the NHS Royal Infirmary Hospital, Leicester, where I was honoured with the BEE (Being Excellent Every Day) Award for my dedication and service. I hold a BA in Economics and specialised in Hospitality Management with a focus on the Aviation Industry. I have been working as the executive commitee member of Leicester Kerala Community member (LKC) for the last 3 years. Before moving to the UK, I worked as a Senior Duty Officer – Operations at Trivandrum International Airport. I live here with my wife, who is also a nurse at the Royal Infirmary Hospital, and we have two lovely daughters—one studying in Year 8 and the other in Reception. We don’t have any other family members in the UK, but we feel at home in this warm and welcoming community. My native place in Kerala is Pathamuttom, Kottayam. What inspired me to take part in the BMCF Charity Walk is the impactful work of Mr. Gopinath Muthukad, particularly his dedication to empowering specially-abled children in Kerala. I am currently preparing myself physically and mentally for this great event, and I’m excited to be part of something meaningful. I deeply admire Mr. Muthukad’s efforts in supporting marginalized communities and spreading awareness through his initiatives. Likewise, BMCF’s charitable efforts, both here in the UK and back home in Kerala, are a beacon of hope and solidarity for many families. Their work continues to inspire people like me to contribute and be part of something bigger. I’m proud to walk for this cause and hope my small step will help light the way for someone in need. Thank you for supporting and encouraging me on this journey. Nehal's Story A few weeks ago I over heard my dad talking about him doing something super thrilling . A few days later he asked me if I wanted to join’, Nehal said. Her involvement adds a very special dimension to Jagan’s Walk with Muthukad campaign. While Jagan is stepping forward to raise funds alongside magician Gopinath Muthukad, Nehal is showing that even young hearts can make a big impact. Through her creativity, compassion, and determination, she is not only walking for the cause but also inspiring others to join in and give. Her handmade crafts — from pillows and crochet toys to jewellery — reflect the love and hope she wishes to share with children in Kasaragod. Together, father and daughter are proving that change begins when families walk hand in hand for a better tomorrow. On Sunday 19th October 2025, the suburbs of Leicestershire will come alive with the power of unity, compassion and magic as Gopinath Muthukad – world-renowned magician turned humanitarian – leads a heartwarming initiative to transform the lives of children with disabilities. Through “Walk with Muthukad – Change Lives thru BMCF” & "BMCF M'Cube Magic Moments"we aim to raise crucial funds for the International Institute for Children with Disabilities at Kasaragod, Kerala, India – a world-class centre offering care, education and empowerment to differently-abled children. To mark this event as a very special occasion, British Malayali Charity Foundation has also decided to honour one of the local community charities in UK, as always has been doing, in their outstanding services being rendered to the needy people in the society.
