Hello, I am Greeshma Bijoy, a teaching associate stationed in the vibrant city of Derby, where my ardour for orchestrating events and facilitating gatherings flourishes. My professional odyssey unfolds with a stint as a Skill Development Executive, sculpting the aptitude of postgraduates within the realm of mock interviews and linguistic finesse under the esteemed aegis of the Additional Skill Acquisition Program for a triumvirate of years. Prior to that, I graced the corridors of academia, wielding the mantle of educator and program orchestrator within an esteemed ICSE institution in India, honing my craft over a span of eight illustrious years. This tenure bestowed upon me a wealth of expertise in the meticulous orchestration and seamless execution of a myriad of events. In the annals of 2022, I traversed geographical boundaries to pursue academic enlightenment, culminating in the attainment of an MSc in International Business Management with a specialization in HR from the venerable Ulster University, Birmingham. Since then, I have been privileged to lend my finesse to the Derby Malayali Association, where I have endeavoured as an accomplished host, weaving the tapestry of communal spirit through the art of event curation. Embracing the mantle of Women's Coordinator for the committee in the auspicious year of 2024, I also had the opportunity to host the British Malayali Awards night 2024 with my team members. I embark upon a new chapter of empowerment and advocacy, committed to fostering inclusivity and camaraderie within our vibrant community. For over eight years, I have been working as a teacher and skill development executive, engaging with students from diverse age groups and backgrounds. Throughout my career, I have encountered students from both affluent and impoverished families, witnessing firsthand the struggles many face in fulfilling their dreams. I have seen parents forced to halt their children's education due to financial constraints. One poignant memory that stands out is when I took the initiative to organize a fundraiser for a student in need of an operation, despite the lack of interest from the school principal. Our efforts paid off, and we raised a substantial sum, providing immense relief to the student's family. For me, students and their needs always come first. I always had a dream of becoming airhostess, but circumstances prevented me from achieving that goal. However, skydiving now offers me an opportunity to add color to my dream of flying high. Skydiving represents a culmination of my aspirations and a testament to my resilience and commitment to pursuing my passions, no matter the obstacles.
