Too Young for This Loss: A Five-Year-Old Now Stands Alone in the World following the tragic loss of his father He came to the United Kingdom with hope — pursuing a Master’s degree in Interior Design at Derby University, determined to build a better future for his family. A talented and passionate designer, Sreekanth had already built an impressive career, working in Mumbai, Dubai, and Muscat, even collaborating with well-known figures. But life in the UK was not easy. After completing his studies, he took up work in a burger shop to survive, all while carrying the constant worry of not securing visa sponsorship and struggling to meet his daily needs. When he eventually lost his job, the pressure and uncertainty only deepened. Despite these hardships, everything he endured was for one purpose — to give his young son a brighter, more secure life. On 17th April 2026, while at Heathrow Airport on his way to celebrate Vishu with his little son, tragedy struck. He suffered a sudden and severe stroke. Despite emergency surgery and days of critical care, he passed away on 20th April 2026. Behind this heartbreaking loss is a 5-year-old child a child who has now lost both parents and even grandparents. His mother had already passed away during COVID, and now his father his only remaining pillar is gone. What remains is a silence no child should ever have to endure. This appeal is not just about loss it is about responsibility, compassion, and humanity. We are raising funds for: • Repatriation of Sreekanth’s body from the UK to India, so he can be laid to rest with dignity beside his late wife • The future and welfare of his young son, who now faces life without parental care or security Sreekanth carried dreams across countries from India to the Middle East, and finally to the UK —all for his family. Today, his child needs us to carry forward that responsibility. No contribution is too small. Every act of kindness brings hope to a child who has lost everything.
