The Story

Hi, I’m Evangeline, and I’m doing my first fundraising! One day, I was listening to my mum and dad talking about something really exciting, and I told them I wanted to be a part of it. They were talking about the 'Walk with Muthukad' event, where we can help raise money for kids with disabilities in Kasaragod, India. The money will go towards building a special school for these kids, and I thought, I want to help too! So, on Sunday, 19th October 2025, my dad, Joseph, and I will be walking with Gopinath Muthukad, the magician who’s using his magic to change lives. This is my first time fundraising, and I’m super excited to make a difference! The walk will be at 11 AM in Beacon Hill Park, Leicester, and it’s just for an hour, but it will help make a BIG difference for the children who need the school. Here’s how YOU can help me and my dad: Donate: Every penny we raise will go directly to the school, and if you say yes to Gift Aid, your donation will grow by 25%! That means your money helps even more kids! Join Us for the Walk: You can walk with us at 11 AM in Beacon Hill Park, Leicester. It’s only an hour, but it will make a huge difference! Tell Others: If you can, please share our story with your family and friends. The more people who know, the more kids we can help! Later, there will be a special BMCF M'Cube Magic Moments show with Gopinath Muthukad, where he will perform his magic and show us how we can all help others. It’s going to be such a fun and inspiring day! This is my first fundraising, and I’m so happy to be doing something important. I really hope you’ll support me and my dad by donating, walking with us, or telling others about this cause. Together, we can make a big difference! To mark this event as a very special occasion, British Malayali Charity Foundation has also decided to honour one of the local community charities in UK, as always has been doing, in their outstanding services being rendered to the needy people in the society. As such, British Malayali Charity Foundation will be giving an amount of £ 1,000.00 to Open Hands Leicester, one of the leading community charities from Leicester as a token of solidarity and gratitude in their relentless efforts in supporting many deserving people in and around Leicestershire. "BMCF M'Cube Magic Moments" The charity walk in the morning sets the tone for a day dedicated to hope, culminating in the grand evening of magic moments with Muthukad at Prajapati Hall, Leicester blending magic, music, and motivation at 4 PM. This is not just a show — it’s a movement of love and change. By supporting these initiatives, you directly contribute to building a future of dignity for hundreds of children society often overlooks. We invite you to be a part of these transformative events by making a generous contribution. All contributions will go directly towards the construction and operation of the Kasaragod institute, which is set to open its doors by 2029. With the collective strength of the British Malayali Charity Foundation (BMCF) and the UK DAC Chapter along with generous individuals like you, we believe real change is within the reach. Let’s make this mission a reality by spreading this message by sharing amongst your dear and near ones. Your support will not only make the above events a grand succes but also bring lasting light into the lives of those who need it most. Please ensure to give consent to claim gift aid if eligible as every £ 1.00 you donate get enhanced to another £ 0.25 by doing so. Thank you so much for your support! Love, Evangeline
