With profound sorrow, British Malayali Charity Foundation shares the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of Christopher (48), originally from Idukki, Kerala, who tragically died on the morning of 25th August following a cardiac arrest. Christopher lived in Leicester with his wife Menaka Abraham, who is from Chennai and works at University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL). They have been in the UK for the past five years, building their life together with hope and determination. Their beloved 3‑year‑old daughter — a precious blessing who came into their lives after 11 long years of waiting and IVF treatment — was due to start school today. Christopher had been eagerly looking forward to this milestone. Instead, the family was struck by an unimaginable tragedy on what should have been a joyful day. Christopher had not been working since the birth of their daughter, dedicating himself to caring for her. His sudden passing has left the family in a devastating financial and emotional crisis, with Menaka now facing the burden of single parenthood, grief, and immediate expenses while continuing her demanding role in the NHS.
