URGENT FUNDRAISING APPEAL FOR THE FAMILY OF BOBBY JAMES It is with deep sorrow that we share the tragic news of the passing of Bobby James (57), a devoted husband, father, and teacher, originally from Pooyappally, Kottarakkara, who arrived in the UK with his family just three years ago in search of a better life. Bobby, who had been battling long-term illness, passed away on the evening of 30th May at 4:30 pm, just hours after being officially diagnosed with cancer. His sudden demise has left his wife Smitha and their two children, in unimaginable grief and hardship. Shortly after arriving in the UK, Bobby’s health began to deteriorate. He was diagnosed with 'cheesy meningitis' within months, followed by a stroke during treatment that left him bedridden and dependent on nursing home care. Despite her personal struggles, Smitha worked tirelessly, managing her job and family responsibilities alone, often taking leave to care for her husband. Her strength was matched by the support of her colleagues and hospital authorities, who stood by her during difficult times. Sadly, just when there were signs of improvement and hope that Bobby might return home, the family was dealt a devastating blow. His final diagnosis came too late, and he passed away before further treatment could even begin. Now, the family faces not only emotional loss but severe financial strain, with mounting costs related to his care, funeral arrangements, and the ongoing needs of their children's education and wellbeing.
