Fundraising Appeal – Bringing Late Binoy George Home

It is with profound sadness that the British Malayali Charity Foundation (BMCF) shares the heartbreaking news of the passing of Late Binoy George, a beloved husband, devoted father, and hardworking member of our Malayali community in the UK. Binoy and his wife, Sheeba, came to the UK three years ago with the hope of building a better future for their family. Sheeba has been working tirelessly as a care worker at Ferndale Nursing Home, while Binoy worked continuous night shifts at a Tesco warehouse to support their dreams and provide for their two young sons. Just two weeks after developing symptoms, Binoy was diagnosed with blood cancer. Despite receiving specialist treatment and emergency chemotherapy at The Oak Cancer Centre, his condition deteriorated rapidly due to complications, including brain bleeding. Surrounded by his loved ones, Binoy sadly passed away on 1 August 2026, leaving behind his wife and their two sons—George Thomas (17) and James Thomas (11). Today, Sheeba faces an unimaginable journey. She has lost her life partner in a foreign country while carrying the responsibility of raising two children, one preparing for adulthood and the other still in school. Back home in Kerala, Binoy's 82-year-old father, elderly mother, siblings, relatives, and friends are waiting with heavy hearts to receive their beloved son for one final farewell. The family has approached the British Malayali Charity Foundation (BMCF) seeking assistance to repatriate Binoy's mortal remains to India. Repatriation involves significant expenses, including funeral director services, documentation, embalming, air transportation, and other associated costs. As a community, we have always stood together during times of sorrow. Today, we humbly request your support to help this grieving family fulfil their final wish—to take Binoy home to his parents and loved ones, where he can be laid to rest with dignity.
