The Story

Hello Friends, My name is Bindu Kalaraj and I am a respiratory specialist nurse working in Peterborough City Hospital. I am also a dedicated wife and proud mother of two wonderful children. I am excited to share that I am participating in a charity skydiving event with Britishmalayali Charity Foundation on 8th September 2024 to raise funds for underprivileged nursing students from Kerala, India who are in desperate need of financial assistance. This cause is very close to my heart as I was once a nursing student from a remote village in Kerala. The education and opportunities I received changed my life, allowing me to pursue a fulfilling career and support my family. By supporting them, we can make a significant impact on their lives. Every donation, big or small, will go towards providing these students with the resources they need to succeed. I kindly request your support for this cause. Your contributions will help ensure that these students have access to the necessary tools, education, and opportunities to become the next generation of healthcare professionals. Every penny counts and will make a difference in their lives. Thank you for taking the time to read about my fundraising efforts. Together, we can make a positive change and give back to the community that shaped me into the nurse I am today. Your support means the world to me and to the students whose futures you will be helping to build. I kindly request you to claim 25% giftaid by checking the option with your donation if eligible. UK tax paid earnings(e.g. wages) are eligible for claiming giftaid. That means if you donate £ 10.00, an amount of about £12.50 reaches to the most deserving people, after a nominal fee of fundraising platform. Thank you for your generosity! Kind regards, Bindu Kalaraj

The office bearers and trustees has been elected by the AGM of the Foundation every year as per the norms and guidelines of the charity commission. We have a mass support of generous people from keralites and locals living across U.K and has been receiving tremendous response to our various appeals for financial assistance..We normally present and run the cases/stories of the needed ones through ‘British Malayali‘ online news portal to the general public and people respond to our requests individually and through associations by sending us donations. We have an excellent back-up in U.K and Kerala wherein we are able to verify and scrutinise the requests received from time to time for financial assistance-mostly related to life-threatening diseases and illnesses.
