The Story
Hello Friends,
My name is Beena James, and I’ve been proud to call the UK my home for the past 23 years. Originally from Neendoor, Kottayam, I now live in Sheffield with my loving family — my husband Dony Scaria, and our three wonderful children: Alvin, Leon, and Riya. I work as a Band 6 Nurse at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, a role that has taught me the true meaning of compassion and service.
Beyond my professional life, I’m also honoured to serve as a Trustee of Mothers Charity UK, an organisation close to my heart.
I am deeply moved to support Gopinath Muthukad’s Kasaragod project, a noble initiative aimed at empowering specially-abled children. Mr. Muthukad is not only a magical performer but a visionary humanitarian whose charitable efforts continue to inspire thousands. His unwavering commitment to building an inclusive world for differently-abled children is something I deeply admire and wholeheartedly support.
Joining the BMCF Walk with Muthukad is more than just an event for me — it’s a statement of solidarity, a step toward hope. I’m incredibly impressed by the British Malayali Charity Foundation and its transparent, impactful work in transforming lives. Their mission resonates with me, and I’m proud to walk under their banner.
My message to society:
"Ability beyond disability — let’s work together to empower specially-abled children. Let’s walk together for a brighter tomorrow."
On Sunday 19th October 2025, the suburbs of Leicestershire will come alive with the power of unity, compassion and magic as Gopinath Muthukad – world-renowned magician turned humanitarian – leads a heartwarming initiative to transform the lives of children with disabilities. Through “Walk with Muthukad – Change Lives thru BMCF” & "BMCF M'Cube Magic Moments"we aim to raise crucial funds for the International Institute for Children with Disabilities at Kasaragod, Kerala, India – a world-class centre offering care, education and empowerment to differently-abled children.
The participants get an ample opportunity to walk and chat with a reputed and well-known magician Mr. Gopinath Muthukad at 11 AM at Beacon Hill Park, Leicester along with the great participation to raise funds for a noble cause The walk trails through the park will be for around an hour.
"BMCF M'Cube Magic Moments"
The charity walk in the morning sets the tone for a day dedicated to hope, culminating in the grand evening of magic moments with Muthukad at Prajapati Hall, Leicester blending magic, music, and motivation at 4 PM.
This is not just a show — it’s a movement of love and change. By supporting these initiatives, you directly contribute to building a future of dignity for hundreds of children society often overlooks. We invite you to be a part of these transformative events by making a generous contribution. All contributions will go directly towards the construction and operation of the Kasaragod institute, which is set to open its doors by 2029.
To mark this event as a very special occasion, British Malayali Charity Foundation has also decided to honour one of the local community charities in UK, as always has been doing, in their outstanding services being rendered to the needy people in the society. As such, British Malayali Charity Foundation will be giving an amount of £ 1,000.00 to Open Hands Leicester, one of the leading community charities from Leicester as a token of solidarity and gratitude in their relentless efforts in supporting many deserving people in and around Leicestershire.
Your support will not only make the above events a grand success but also bring lasting light into the lives of those who need it most.
Please ensure to give consent to claim gift aid if eligible as every £ 1.00 you donate get enhanced to another £ 0.25 by doing so.
Thanks & Regards,
Beena James
