BMCF Aneena Paul Appeal

It is with deep sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news of the untimely passing of Ms. Aneena Paul (24), a bright young student from Elambakapally, near Perumbavoor, Kerala, who came to the United Kingdom in September 2024 to pursue her postgraduate studies in Agricultural Sustainability at Middlesex University. Aneena was a gifted and hardworking student, full of dreams for a better future—not just for herself, but for her entire family back home in Kerala. She was one among triplets, with two loving sisters and a younger brother. Her father, a humble auto-rickshaw driver, and her mother, a homemaker, worked tirelessly to support her education. To make her dream of studying abroad possible, the family took a loan of ₹20 lakhs, hoping that Aneena’s education would open doors to a better life for all of them. But fate had other plans. Just as she was nearing the completion of her course, Aneena collapsed suddenly at her residence in Illford after suffering from a severe medical emergency. Though paramedics fought valiantly to revive her and she was rushed to Ilford Hospital, she suffered severe brain damage due to lack of oxygen. Despite being on life support for days, Aneena succumbed to her condition, leaving her family and friends in unimaginable grief. Aneena had been battling epilepsy since childhood, yet she faced every challenge with courage and determination. Her passing has shattered not only her family’s hearts but also their fragile hopes and finances. The family, who had pinned all their dreams on Aneena’s success, now faces a deep financial and emotional crisis. As she leaves behind her two sisters and a brother, her devastated parents now face the unbearable task of repatriating their daughter’s remains to Kerala, while struggling to repay the heavy educational debts incurred in the hope of her brighter future. In this moment of immense pain, we humbly appeal to your generosity and compassion to help Aneena’s grieving family.
