The Story
Dear Friends,
We come to you today with a heartbreaking plea for help. Baby Abigail, a tiny newborn just a few months old, is enduring constant pain and suffering because of a severe skin condition. Her cries tell the story of a life that has only just begun, yet is already filled with struggles no child should ever face.
Her parents, Helen (from Palakkad) and Sanjo (from Malappuram), are living in the UK under desperate circumstances. Once here on a valid visa, they fell into legal trouble after receiving misguided advice from an unqualified solicitor. Today, they are without a visa, income, or access to the NHS.
During her pregnancy, Helen was mistakenly given the MMR vaccination — not recommended for expectant mothers. While reassured by doctors at first, her worries became real when Abigail was born.
Within two months, Abigail developed a painful skin infection. She has been crying in agony, but her treatment is repeatedly disrupted because her parents cannot pay hospital bills.
Without NHS entitlement, each medical visit costs around £270, an impossible sum for the struggling family. Recently, Abigail’s hospital appointment was cancelled simply because of unpaid charges.
The family is under pressure to leave the UK, but no airline will accept them because of Abigail’s medical condition.
Helen and Sanjo are jobless, helpless, and broken, struggling even to afford food, milk, and daily needs.
Their families back home are unable to help — Helen’s father is a driver, and Sanjo’s mother is bedridden.
Your contribution — no matter how small — can help save Abigail from further suffering. Funds will go directly towards:
Covering urgent medical consultation fees and treatments
Providing medicines and specialist dermatology care
Ensuring baby essentials, food, and daily living needs
Supporting possible legal or humanitarian pathways so the family can remain until Abigail receives proper treatment.
No child deserves to live in pain because of circumstances beyond their control.
Together, we can give Abigail the chance to heal, to smile, and to grow without constant suffering. Please open your hearts and extend your support to this helpless family.
On behalf of Baby Abigail and her shattered parents,
Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
